Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 9, 2026

1. Information Collection

Bible Alarm may collect limited information to support core features and subscriptions only through services like Superwall. We may use basic details like device type, iOS version, and app version to better support users.

We use this information to:

  • Operate and enhance the features of Bible Alarm
  • Send essential updates or app-related notifications
  • Respond to user inquiries or support issues
  • Monitor app performance and resolve technical problems

2. Local Data Storage

Any settings or progress within Bible Alarm (e.g., your alarm schedules, practice preferences, or streak data) are saved locally on your device and are never transmitted off-device.

3. No Third-Party Tracking

Bible Alarm does not include third-party advertising or tracking SDKs. We do not sell or share your data with marketers or external services.

4. Data Usage and Protection

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Any data collected is used solely to support the app's core functionality and subscriptions.

Bible Alarm uses OpenAI's API to identify Bible-related content in photos as part of morning practices. This process is:

  • Processed in real-time via OpenAI's servers
  • Not stored by Bible Alarm
  • Not linked to any user identifiers
  • Used solely to verify practice completion

OpenAI may temporarily retain data for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring per their API data usage policy. Bible Alarm does not control this retention and does not store or access this data after it is processed.

5. Motion and Sensor Data

Certain practices (such as praise hands) use your device's motion sensors and camera to detect and verify physical gestures. This data is processed entirely on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

6. Security

All data saved within Bible Alarm stays on your device unless required for payments or essential app functionality. We recommend using device-level security such as a passcode or Face ID to keep your information safe.

7. Children's Privacy

Bible Alarm is intended for users aged 4+. However, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, contact us immediately and we will delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may occasionally update this policy to reflect improvements or legal requirements. The effective date at the top will indicate the latest version. Continued use of Bible Alarm constitutes acceptance of any updates.

9. International Users

While Bible Alarm does not collect sensitive personal data, we aim to align with privacy best practices, including the CCPA and GDPR. If you have specific rights under these laws, please contact us and we will do our best to support your request.
